Summit 2012           March 2-7, 2011    St. Charles, IL

Every year high school students from across the country meet at Awana Summit to compete in Games, Bible Quizzing and judged Fine Arts.  They also attend a College and Ministry Fair and Evening Worship Sessions that focus on issues your student faces in their Christian walk.  In 2011, GBC finished 3rd in the Nation in Games (after finishing 2nd in 2010).  GBC advanced one team to the Silver Round in Quizzing (quarter-final) and another team to the Platinum Round (Finals) placing 6th in the Nation.  Ten students entered 5 of the 7 categories of judged Fine Arts for a total of 11 entries, and every entry medaled!  We are looking to continue the strong tradition in 2012!  See the Journey Director if you would like to participate.  There is a cost associated with attendance at this event. .

In order to earn a book award, a student must complete the club entrance booklet (Faith’s Foundations), the Main Study book, and the Elective book.

If a student completes the above before the end of the year, he or she may begin books in Journey, Trek or T&T that he or she did not complete.  Check out how your student can earn a scholarship on page 11!
